Scavenger hunt for children aged 3 to 7
With this scavenger hunt, you will search for the end symbol. Which symbol that is depends on the theme. The themes of these scavenger hunts are suitable for children aged 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
You can use the printable indoors. But if the weather is nice, you can also easily set up the scavenger hunt outdoors.
The idea of the scavenger hunt is very simple. You receive a treasure map with a route along symbols. All these symbols are included with the scavenger hunt printable (to be printed on A4).
Scavenger hunt indoors or outdoors
You create a route for the scavenger hunt inside the house. For example, you hang a symbol in the toilet, a symbol in the stairwell, and so on. You also receive a printable with arrows, so you can help the children follow the correct route. And eventually, the children will arrive at the end symbol! Here you can treat the children to something nice, for example.
Of course, you can also set up the scavenger hunt outdoors. If the weather is nice, that's even a very good idea. Start the scavenger hunt at the back door and end it at the front door. Following the treasure map is otherwise the same as if you were doing it indoors. You might need to print out some extra arrows to make the route clearer.
Extra games and tasks for the scavenger hunt
Small tasks or games are also fun ideas during the scavenger hunt. You can come up with and implement these entirely as you see fit. An idea for a game, for example, is a round of bingo or a task like 'invent a dance'. What's also fun is to give a hint with the symbols. That makes the children think about where they can find the next symbol.
